Life is meaningful, wonderful and beautiful!

Keep writing January 25, 2010

Filed under: Thoughts — vivaliving @ 8:49 pm

My original plan was to write and to post one article a day. After the first week in January, I don’t think writing and posting daily work for me. Coz I am too lazy and too busy. My plan right now is to write and to post at least one article per week.

Something is bothering me today, but I don’t know what it is. I just feel like writing today. For the past few weeks in 2010, I have already had so many life experiences that I want to write and to share with you. I just wouldn’t find time to do it. Since I feel like writing today, I tell myself why don’t I just go ahead to write as many articles as I want to. I finally finished three articles today.

Your comment is important to me. Drop me a line if you can. That motivates me to gather more of my life experiences to share with you.

Picture wall

I am soooo into Design and Architecture, expecially mid-century modern architecture and furishing. If you have been to my home, you must have a chance to meet with my Modernica orange and army green rocker armchairs. I am so proud to be the owner of these comfortable and wonderful designed chairs. Two of my girl friends (you know who you are) got the same chair (but different color) after they tried mine at my place.

I also love Home Decor. My recent project is a picture wall. You can find my favorite artists’ work on this wall. The artists include Carrie Chau, Blanca Gomez, Askey Illustration, 10 Swedish designers, and Viva! Living (yes, the red square fabric boxes are my creation). I stapled the red color 10 designers fabric that I got from my Stockholm trip to a 10X10 canvas board to come up with these art work. They look awesome to me. What do you think?

Cowgirl Creamery @ SF Ferry Building January 18, 2010

Once in a while, I will indulge myself with some edibles, such as cheese, chocolate bars, gelato,…

For cheese, I love to go to Cowgirl Creamery inside the San Francisco Ferry Building. What I like about Cowgirl Creamery? 1) Huge selection for different types of cheese from different countries, 2) You can try different kinds of cheese before making your purchase, and 3) The staffs are very knowledgeable and friendly. If you don’t know what kind of cheese you want, they always can recommend something good for you to try before you purchase.

If you know me well, you should know that I love the robust taste from my cheese. My favorite kind of cheese is blue cheese. My recent purchase is a kind of blue cheese named Bleu d’Auvergne from France. It is very delicious.

If you are a cheese lover like me, find some time to visit Cowgirl Creamery. You should be able to bring home some delicious cheese.

Fog City News

Fog City News is a place where I spend many of my lunch break at. If you work at San Francisco Financial District, you MUST check out this place. I love their magazines and chocolate selection. If you don’t work at San Francisco Financial District, you can always pay a visit on a Saturday afternoon.

As Fog City News claims on it’s website –

“Fog City News carries the largest stock of magazines in the Bay Area. The foreign publication section — alone — totals over 700 titles from more than 25 different countries — larger than the entire stock of most newsstands!

Fog City News imports hundreds of premium chocolate bars from around the world — one of the largest collections in the United States.”

I always find myself fill with satisfaction when I walk out this store with my favorite magazines and chocolate bars.

Colors make me happy January 5, 2010

Filed under: Home — vivaliving @ 7:17 am

I love colors, especially green. My wedding theme color was apple green. My living space is full of green plants – Cactus, Air Plants, Paperwhites…

My recent “green” favorite is the Paperwhites that my hubby and I planted in October 2009. Check out the pictures that I attached. I think they look gorgeous. What do you think?
